HollywoodReporter reports: Lionsgate has been hit with a quirky copyright infringement lawsuit over a piece of music used in documentary More Than A Game, which chronicles basketball superstar LeBron James’ rise during his high school days in Ohio. The lawsuit filed Tuesday in Georgia federal court comes from Mason Hall, a songwriter who says he authored a copyrighted composition entitled, “We Ready.” Hall is suing Lionsgate as well as what may or may not be a LeBron James label at Interscope Records (”Interscope Lebron LLC”) for using his composition in the...Continue reading »

Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post reports: A third free agent who played for the Nuggets last year is in serious talks to play in China. The longtime Nuggets power forward is currently weighing his options. If...Continue reading »

Ibaka, who spent one season with Ricoh Manresa in the Spanish ACB league before joining...Continue reading »

Wilson Chandler said he has signed a contract with the Zhejiang Guangsha of the Chinese Basketball Association, a move that would essentially preclude him from participating in the 2011-12 NBA season if the lockout ends and the games begin. The Chinese Basketball Association will not allow players with existing contracts to sign with its teams, so playing in China is only an option for free agents such as Chandler, a restricted free agent who finished the 2010-11 season with the Denver Nuggets. Adande: Chandler’s Risky Proposition By deciding to go to China, Wilson...Continue reading »

As fun as their matchup was, it’s difficult to assess either player’s ability when neither team showed much interest in defending. LeBron and Durant have both worked hard to improve their defense, and that deserves celebration. It’s a huge reason their teams reached the NBA Finals and conference finals, respectively. And fans want those higher stakes. Tuesday, none of that mattered. Mostly, the game was about what NBA players could do against less-than-NBA defenses. But it was also about what NBA players can do in general — dazzle and delight....Continue reading »
